The Borrowly idea

About Borrowly

Why buy it when you can rent it? Borrowly is building a peer-to-peer rental marketplace for useful things people own but rarely use: cameras, power tools, gaming equipment, party supplies, sports equipment, camping gear and specialty equipment.

More doing. Less owning.

Our idea is simple: connect people who need equipment temporarily with local owners who can offer it for rent. A creator can find gear for a shoot. A small business can explore equipment for an occasional job. An owner can put unused belongings to work.

Starting local

We plan to grow one local market at a time, focusing first on useful listings, clear rental policies and a practical booking experience before expanding into neighboring communities.

Clarity comes first

Availability, pricing, pickup and return arrangements depend on each listing. Rental terms should explain deposits, cancellations and responsibilities before anyone commits. Protection is not automatic; any insurance or protection arrangement must have clearly disclosed terms.

For owners

Rental income depends on demand, pricing, availability and expenses. Borrowly does not guarantee earnings. Our goal is to make sharing useful equipment a practical alternative to leaving it unused.
